This privacy notice explains what happens to information when you visit abulasar.dev, read a note, follow an external link, or contact Abulasar Sayyad. This is a personal software engineering portfolio that includes selected technical notes—not a user-account service, advertising platform, or data broker.
01
Information this site handles
The portfolio does not ask you to create an account, does not operate a contact-form database, and does not request payment or sensitive personal information. If you choose “Email me,” your email application opens and the message is handled by the email providers used by you and Abulasar. The site receives only what you decide to include in that message.
Like almost every website, the hosting and security layer necessarily receives technical request information such as an IP address, requested URL, browser user agent, timestamp, and security signals. This information is processed to deliver the site, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and understand aggregate traffic—not to build advertising profiles.
02
Hosting, cookies, and analytics
The site is statically generated with Astro and delivered through Cloudflare. Static portfolio pages, images, and prebuilt article pages are served from Cloudflare’s network. The site itself does not set advertising cookies, embed advertising pixels, or use cross-site tracking. Cloudflare may process network and security data under its own privacy terms as the infrastructure provider.
No analytics script is embedded in the current source code. If privacy-preserving aggregate analytics are enabled in the future, this notice will be updated before those measurements are used for a materially different purpose.
03
Notes and external services
Technical articles are published on Hashnode and copied into this portfolio during the static build. Reading an article on abulasar.dev does not require a live browser request to Hashnode. Links to Hashnode, GitHub, LinkedIn, X, and other external sites are clearly presented; once you follow one, that service’s privacy terms and data practices apply.
04
Retention, choices, and contact
This site does not maintain a visitor-profile database. Infrastructure logs, where available, are retained according to Cloudflare’s settings and policies. Email correspondence is retained only as needed to respond, continue a professional conversation, keep reasonable business records, or meet legal obligations.
You may browse without identifying yourself, decline to follow external links, or avoid sending email. For a privacy question, correction request, or deletion request concerning information you sent directly, use the email route on the Contact page and describe the information involved. This notice may change when the site’s features or service providers change; the revision date above will be updated.
